The Future Energy Technologies Call 2023 focuses on essential topics in the energy sector. The aim is to create groundbreaking knowledge through targeted focal points and thereby secure the future competitiveness of Upper Austria as a business and research location.

What is funded?

Projects can be submitted on the following topics under the call:

  • Energy generation technologies
  • Integrated energy systems
  • Transport and storage
  • Simulation and modelling of energy systems

Support is provided for Upper Austrian

  • Companies
  • Universities
  • research institutions
  • and other actors,

who contribute to the goals of the energy transition.

How much funding is available?

The Future Energy Technologies Call for Proposals 2023 of the province of Upper Austria provides a total of approximately EUR 3 million in funding. Funding in a range of at least EUR 100,000 to a maximum of EUR 600,000 can be applied for per project. The amount of funding varies depending on the type of organisation of the individual partners (KU, MU, GU, research institution, …) and the specific research category. The maximum funding rate is 85%.

Interested participants thus have the opportunity to support their innovative projects on the future of energy efficiency and sustainability through this attractive call for proposals.
