DACH Cooperation Transport Infrastructure Research:
Promoting regional and national innovation processes

The cooperation is intended to promote national and international innovation processes. You too can draw on the funding pot!
A funding cooperation has been established in the common linguistic and economic area of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (so-called DACH area). The joint call on the topics of digitization and sustainability opened on March 1, 2023, and has the following primary objectives:
- Developing research questions to specifically address regional and national research and innovation needs.
- To pool resources to best answer common research questions
- To promote knowledge exchange and networking among regional research stakeholders.
A total of €2.4 million is available for this call.
What is funded?
In the 8th call for proposals, research and development services are announced. Projects on the topics of digitization and sustainability can be submitted in the following focus areas:
- Real laboratory with digital twin for road superstructure
- Sustainability analyses with digital twin in civil engineering
- Development of modern mobility hubs by networking means of transport at park & drive and park & ride facilities
- Requirement-oriented integration of sustainable forms of mobility at signal-controlled intersections
Who is funded?
The call for proposals is basically addressed to legal entities, partnerships and sole proprietorships. It is primarily intended to address the following companies:
- Industrial and large enterprises to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Research institutions
Within the framework of the D-A-CH Cooperation Transport Infrastructure Research, a total of € 2.4 million is available for the 8th call. Each call focus (above) will be funded with one project at 100%.
