Transformation Funding

Would you like to take advantage of the attractive funding opportunities to drive the digital and sustainable transformation of your company, but don’t know where to start? Identifying the relevant subsidies is often difficult, and applying for and processing them involves many “stumbling blocks”. The Transformation Grants of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy (BMAW) is a funding initiative for Austrian companies. It offers companies the chance to prepare projects, plans and other business ventures for the future. With a current budget of around €300 million in funding for the period 2023 to 2026, companies are supported in their digital and sustainable transformation.

The following key sectors are in particular focus:

• Automotive
• Semiconductor industry
• life sciences
• Digitalization

Other sectors are not excluded; the criterion is the technological openness of the companies.

Through the transformation funding, innovation, research, development projects are supported, which include the following goals and project content:

• digital transformation
• Transformation in the value and supply chains
• sustainable transformation

This is an exciting and lucrative opportunity for domestic companies to advance (new) technologies and/or develop or enter new business areas

The aim of the funding is to strengthen the competitiveness, resilience and independence of Austrian companies and to promote the development of sustainable value chains in Austria.

This enables companies to switch to new technologies and develop new business fields and business models, as well as qualification measures for skilled employees in companies.
